Why 'Salieri'?

Well, Antonio Salieri was a popular composer during the 1700's, who famously had a 'bitter rivalry' with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (who you've probably heard of). I'm not too sure whether there actually was a rivalry between them, or if the conspiracy theories about Salieri being Mozart's killer is true.. After watching Amadeus (1984) period drama biopic; I saw Salieri as more of an musical underdog to Mozart, who was envious of Amadeus' 'natural born talent'. So that inspired the name of my magazine in my Media coursework; I wanted a magazine that represent music's upcoming pop/underrated talents (slight underdogs). So I called it Salieri, then I thought I'll call my design page that. 

 

My Inspirations...

I have many inspirations. As for my Art... Don Michael Jr.

He creates Art in a really colourful way. And then there is my dad (of course), who is a realism painter. 

One of my earliest inspirations that I remember, was Ron English's 'F.A.M.E.' Album cover for Chris Brown's 3rd Album. The piece is a vibrant pop art painting, which i like to do in my own art. 

Film... I'm not sure i have a favourite film director, but I certainly have films that stand out in my mind; like Fight Club, Nightcrawler Mad Max: Fury Road & The Favourite. They are amazing films that are both stylistically and and thematically impressive to me. After seeing them for the first time I was either surprisingly impressed or inspired by the story and themes expressed.

Why a Tiger as the logo?

I chose a tiger as my logo icon as my favourite paintings/art pieces I've done are of one. So not much meaning really.

 

Why the website?

Just a place to publish my creativity.
